Anyone For You remonte également #46 et l'increvable Shotgun #71.

Citation

Released three days after George Ezra’s 29th birthday last Tuesday (June 7), his album, Gold Rush Kid effects the 23rd change of leadership on the chart in as many weeks, debuting in pole position on consumption of 44,514 units.

Selling 27,684 copies on CD, 6,755 on vinyl, 1,097 on cassette and 4,659 on digital downloads, with sales-equivalent streams accounting for the rest, Gold Rush Kid is Ezra’s third straight No.1 album – his entire output – with consumption of both of its predecessors well in excess of a million units.

Ezra’s introductory album, Wanted On Voyage, sold 2,568 copies when it opened at No.3 in 2014. Its initial success was spurred by the popularity of Ezra’s first hit single, Budapest, which reached No.3 – but the album didn’t reach No.1 (on sales of 30,061 copies) until 13 weeks later, after his second hit Blame It On Me made the Top 10. Wanted On Voyage’s biggest sales week – indeed, the biggest sale of any Ezra album in any week - came six months after its release, in the final week of 2014 when it sold 98,375 copies to rank No.4

Ezra’s second album, Staying At Tamara’s, racked up first week sales of 62,564 copies in 2018, the week its first single, Paradise, peaked at No.2. The subsequent success of second single Shotgun – which became Ezra’s only No.1 single – helped Staying At Tamara to spend a further nine weeks at No.2, though it never returned to No.1. Climbing 30-26 (2,683 sales) this week, it has to-date sales of 1,219,196, while Wanted On Voyage (121-90, 1,424 sales) has sold 1,518,615 copies. Their current positions represent 138-week and 146-week highs, respectively.
