A l'occasion de la sortie de son best of aux USA, j'ouvre ce topic afin de faire connaitre cette grande chanteuse de country à ceux qui ne la connaissent pas et faire un rappel a ceux qui l'apprécient déjà.

 

 

Faith Hill est née le 21 septembre 1967 à Jackson, petite bourgade du Mississppi aux Etats-Unis. Toute petite, la seule chose qu'elle faire, c'est chanter. A chaque occasion, Faith chante qu'elle soit seule ou devant un auditorium, souvent familial! A 19 ans, elle déménage pour aller s'installer à Nashville, la ville de la country. Elle dégote un job de vendeuse, pour payer les factures. Elle rencontre alors Garry Burr, avec qui elle commence à travailler à la compositions et à l'écriture de ces premières chansons. A la fin 93, Burr étant devenu son producteur, elle sort son premier single Wild One, qui explose les ventes, squattant pendant plus de quatre semaines, les charts country. Elle sort son premier album en suivant. Take Me As I Am connaît un énorme succès et devient très vite disque d'or. Ce premier opus est suivi de It Matters to Me en 95, Faith en 98 et de Breathe en 99.

Oui je la connais et je l'adore. J'ai deux de ces albums: Cry & Breathe, d'excellents opus. Faith est depuis longtemps une de mes préférées. J'ai entendu dire qu'elle préparait un nouvel album pur 2009. C'est à voir ! Moi je l'attends
