54ème Grammy Awards : Adele grande gagnante

And the winner is... Adele ! La chanteuse britannique a triomphé, cette nuit, à Los Angeles (Etats-Unis) lors de la 54ème cérémonie des Grammy Awards. Elle a remporté six trophées dont cinq des plus prestigieux, lors d'une soirée marquée par le souvenir de Whitney Houston, décédée la veille à Beverly Hills.

Sans surprise. Adele est bien la reine de l'année 2011. Après avoir surclassé toutes les ventes d'albums dans le monde entier avec son deuxième disque "21", la jeune chanteuse britannique est repartie avec six trophées. Elle a remporté les six prix pour lesquels elle était nommée ! Très touchée par ces récompenses (elle ne pleurera qu'à la remise du quatrième prix), celle qui faisait son grand retour sur le devant de la scène après avoir subie une opération des cordes vocales « Ce disque est inspiré par quelque chose de très normal, juste une relation [amoureuse] minable », avant d'ajouter que l'année 2011 est celle « qui a le plus changé [sa] vie » et de s'excuser, avec son célèbre accent populaire « cockney », d'avoir « un peu de morve au nez ».

Côté français, David Guetta est reparti bredouille mais Alexandre Desplat s'est vu récompenser pour sa musique du film "Le Discours d'un Roi".

La cérémonie s'est ouverte par une prestation du Boss. Bruce Springsteen est venu interpréter son nouveau morceau "We Take Care Of Our Own" avant une présentation de la soirée par LL Cool J qui sera le premier à parler de la disparition de Whitney Houston : « Nous avons une mort dans notre famille », a-t-il lâché. Rihanna, Coldplay ou encore Stevie Wonder auront une pensée pour la chanteuse d' "I'm Every Woman". Wonder modifiera les paroles de l'un de ses tubes « I just want to say Withney in the heaven, we love you all Whitney. » L'un des temps forts de la soirée est probablement la reprise par Jennifer Hudson du tube de Whitney Houston "I Will Always Love You", morceau qui sera très applaudi par la salle.

Après une prestation de Bruno Mars, Alicia Keys et Bonnie Raitt ont rendu hommage à Etta James, décédée récemment en reprenant "I want a Sunday".

Les autres grands gagnants de la soirée sont les rockeurs américains Foo Fighters, repartis avec cinq trophées, dont ceux de meilleure chanson rock ("Walf") et meilleur album rock ("Wasting Light").

Le rappeur Kanye West - absent de la soirée - a remporté quatre trophées, dont celui du meilleur album rap, pour "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy".

Le Grammy de la révélation est allé au groupe américain Bon Iver.
