Après le succès de son excellent album en collaboration avec Damian Marley, Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones nous revient avec "Life Is Good". Le 11ème album solo du rappeur devrait sortir en Novembre/Décembre 2011 sous le label Def Jam Records.

 

Parmi les nombreux producteurs qui ont travaillé sur l'album, on retrouve les prestigieux Swizz Beats, DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Kany West, Dr. Dre, Bangladesh et Salaam Remi.

 

Niveau invités, Tyler The Creator et Hodgy Beats, membres du collectif de rappeurs OFWGKTA figurent sur un morceau produit par Frank Ocean.

Nas a également confirmé lors d'une interview pour le magazine Rolling Stone que l'album contiendra une collaboration avec Jay Electronica et featuring avec AZ, 17 ans après le mythique "Life's A Bitch".

 

Sur le son de l'album, il déclare : "There's a certain sound in hip-hop that I love so some of the album may give you a Nineties feel" et décrit l'album comme un "moment magique" dans sa carrière de rappeur.

Nas est l'un de mes rappeurs préférés et je suis rarement déçu de ce qu'il fait. J'aime Nasty. La liste des producteurs me plait, je sens que l'album sera bon.

So Fresh avec CJ Hilton, Your Mouth Got You In It etMore Than I Can Say sont géniales aussi. Sinon Jay-Z sur l'album serait une bonne nouvelle, Black Republicain était énorme.

Pourquoi pas un Duo avec Jay Z.. Personnellement, la collaboration qui me fait jouir avant même de l'avoir entendu, c'est celle avec Jay Electronica. Il n'est pas très connu pour l'instant mais retenez son nom! Ce mec va exploser le jour ou il se bougera le cul et sortira un album..

Par contre j'attends rien du feat avec Tyler The Creator que je trouve assez médiocre, son buzz commence déjà à disparaitre. La prod de Franck Ocean peut être très intéressante ceci dit.

Sympa ce petit clip. Nas qui reste fidèle à à ses racines et à ce qu'il est. Hormis le petit ego trip dans la Roll Royse au début, il joue pas le rappeur Hype pour rester à la mode comme Jay Z et Kanye, il reste un vrai représentant de la rue et c'est une des choses que j'aime chez lui.

Com Sense says his album with Nasir Jones will happen and explains its origins.

Common tapped Nas for his latest single “Ghetto Dreams,” Hard Knock TV, Com Sense reiterated that their collaborative LP is still in the works and that it originated as a mixtape titled Nas (Dot) Com.

“At some point, we will do that. We’d talked about it and we had a good idea to call it Nas (Dot) Com. That was actually going to be a mixtape at one point,” he revealed. “But we decided that we should make it an album. And we will. Nas is working on his album right now and my album is coming, November 22^nd.”
