Green Day - ¡Uno! . ¡Dos! . ¡Tré!

J'adore !

"21st Century Breakdown is Green Day's best album." - Rolling Stone

"21st Century Breakdown is a rock opera in which the rock always comes

first." - Rolling Stone

"Bold ambitious and reveling in the chaos of the age, 21st Century

Breakdown is another perfect document of our times." - Q Magazine

"The exuberant pop-punk of old [Green Day] has morphed into epic

Who-style stadium rock, with thundering drums underpinning windmill

chords and shout-from-the-rooftops choruses. Rock operas demand nothing

less, and Green Day delivers." - Chicago Tribune

"[Green Day] and producer Butch Vig clearly challenged themselves to go

even further in expanding the boundaries of the band's sound." - Boston

Globe

"[21st Century Breakdown] is just the tonic we need at this juncture: a

bracing cocktail of rebel fury and the redemptive power of love, laced

with just a tiny glint of hope for the future." - Guitar World

"Dirnt and Cool remain one of the most formidable rhythm sections in

current rock. The bass lines are unassailably solid, yet admirably

fleet-footed, while the drumming is a dizzying amalgam of manic energy

and tight control." - Guitar World

"An album that's bigger, broader and even more ambitious than "Idiot," an

album that manages to cram in both more potential hits and more

far-reaching sociopolitical statements. Yes, they've raised the bar once

again. "- Newsday

"Green Day has meticulously built a 70-minute rock opera that offers a

heavy payoff for listening to it as a whole. "- Newsday

"Green Day, though, still writes the catchiest, hardest-hitting pop this

side of The Who." - Tampa Tribune

Green Day follows up "American Idiot" with another concept album, this

one ever more ambitious, cohesive and apocalyptic than its nearly

6-million- selling predecessor. - Lincoln Journal Star

"If Idiot was largely an angry critique of the former president's effect

on the nation, the new album whisks listeners through a bleak but not

hopeless landscape with an epic sonic palette. "- USA Today

Anyone ready for a transition from "Idiot" to something just as big but

different will find lots of rewards here. Some take time to reveal

themselves; others clobber you in the head as they greet you. - Kansas

City Star

"Where American Idiot was a raw-nerved sonic truncheon, slamming home

points in less-than-subtle fashion, Breakdown is stunningly nuanced,

more clearly connecting with frontman/songwriter Billie Joe Armstrong's

deep love of the Who." - Fort Worth Star Telegram

"It will be fascinating to see how the band progresses from here, but,

for now, revel in this 21st Century Breakdown , likely one of 2009's

finest albums." - 5 out of 5 Stars - Fort Worth Star Telegram

"Green Day's latest unfolds as a rock opera triumph." - Chicago Tribune

"21st Century Breakdown" is arguably an even more impressive offering

than "American Idiot." - Contra Costa Times

Green Day never has sounded better than it does on "21st Century

Breakdown." - Contra Costa Times

"It's an epic album that owes plenty to its classic-rock forefathers,

such as "Tommy" and some early Kinks discs, and only can be fully

enjoyed by listening to its entirety. "- Contra Costa Times

"In every compositional way, "21st Century" matches "Idiot's" standards,

which is saying something. The songs have melodic heft, the riffs roil

with crescendos of Who-like proportions, and Billie Joe Armstrong's

vocals suggest there may be no end to his emotional range. "- New York Daily News

"Feels more like punk rock than much of Green Day's previous catalog." -

5/5 Stars - Washington Times

"More than anything, 21st Century Breakdown proves that Green Day still

has the power to rally the troops, even without a specific enemy to

fight against. The band has been vaulted to mainstream punk's socially

conscious mouthpiece, and the trio's Bay Area lefty ideals are as lofty

as its songwriting gestures. "- San Francisco Weekly

"Green Day's latest is a collection of powerful songs worth waiting

nearly five years for." - Hartford Courant

"A concept album with "Dookie" snarl and catchiness is damn fun. And Kurt

Cobain was never going to give us anything like that." - Boston Herald

Moi je le trouve pas terrible ce premier single, j'suis sûre que y'avait de meilleur chansons à sortir pour lancer la promo de l'album.
